I can’t believe that I’ve become this person, but just days later I miss being in New York. A profound sadness fell over me. Luckily, my guy took me to Corti Brothers and we made a lox and bagel sandwich and I got to taste some of the East Coast. The smoked salmon there is incredible. 
After describing what chocolate babka is like, my guy attempted to bake a loaf.
This is attempt number one- tastes good, but the texture isn’t right. We will keep on the trek to making the perfect babka.
