at The Legion of Honor
This was one of the more extraordinary shows I’ve seen in some time. Having the contemporary sculptures of Urs Fischer interspersed among the Rodin statues and even a painting taking the place of a Peter Paul Rubens created such a dynamic juxtaposition of old and new, giving both new context and meaning.

The Crying Horse
I can’t intellectualize why, but this tiny horse is one of my favorite things I’ve ever seen. I saw a man nearly trip over it after not noticing it at all.



Invisible Moher

It all seems like such a fuck you to the art establishment that is the museum. It’s so rare to step into this kind of place and see such humor.
